while our Premium BRB’s offers licensed hands-on personal care for guest who need more support.

Standard BRB
➕ Someone there if needed.
- Independent or mostly independent; able to eat, move, & use the restroom without hands-on assistance
- Needs a nice, safe place to stay while caregivers run errands, work, or take a break
- Light support like reminders, companionship, or meal setup
- Alert, stable, and not requiring personal care.
Examples:
✔️ Dad is mostly independent, but I don’t like leaving him alone after dialysis.”
✔️ “Mom is much better since her stroke, but I prefer that she has someone present if she needs anything .
✔️ “My husband broke his foot—I’m going out of town, I just don’t want him overdoing it while I’m gone.”

If your LO receives occasional in-home care, their caregiver may visit to assist with personal care—just as they would at home.
Premium BRB
➕ Requires hands on personal care.
- Needs hands-on, non-medical personal care (help with meals, mobility, or daily routines)
- May require assistance with feeding, toileting, dressing, or transfers
- Benefits from a higher level of support and attention throughout their stay
- Ideal for guests who are not able to manage personal needs independently

➕ Requires skilled nursing or medical treatment.
- Requires IVs, injections, wound care, or clinical monitoring
- Are bedridden or require full lifting/transfers without
support. Guests should be able to assist with movement or be safely supported within the home setting
- Have behavioral challenges
- That may put themselves or others at risk
- Require hospital level care or continuous medical supervision
- Are experiencing active substance use or withdrawal
Are seeking long-term placement or permanent housing. BRB is designed for short-term stays
- Have needs beyond what a home environment can safely provide.
Standard BRB Locations do not provide in-house personal care
Standard BRB Host Personal Care Policies
All Standard BRB Host do not provide hands on personal care. Every 40 hour period follows BRB’s personal care reset policy requiring a 3rd party care provider or family member to provide personal care. This policy does not apply to guest capable of their own personal care with little to no assistance.
How Multi-Day Visits Work at a Standard BRB Host Homes
